While offering many mass-marketed brands of contact lenses, Shelley Eye Center prides itself on offering specialty contact lenses to meet the needs of most all persons.
Shelley Eye Center begins each and every contact lens fitting by making a topographical map of each of your eyes. Just like the person, each and every eye is different. Ask yourself if your current doctor takes such an individualized approach, or a more standardized method? Each of our patients is unique, just like our practice.
Do you suffer from dryness with contacts? Have you seen the commercials for contacts for dryness on TV? In addition to fitting custom lenses for dryness, Dr. Shelley takes a comprehensive medical and social history so that the underlying cause of the dryness can be treated. Again, an approach as individual as you are.
Have astigmatism? Is the astigmatism because the clear window of the eye is warped? Is it because the natural lens inside your eye is warped, or is it a combination of the two? Neither you, nor your doctor will know unless an individualized approach is used. Knowing the cause of your astigmatism empowers both you and your doctor to decide which lens will best suit your needs.
Over 40 and having problems reading? How much reading do you do? Do you work on a computer?
Keratoconus or other corneal degeneration? There is no more unique a contact lens fit than a fitting for keratoconus. Dr. Shelley has grown an entire sub-specialty in his practice for such conditions.
Dr Shelley is known for his management of keratoconus and has been an advisor clinician for contact lens companies.
